The Week Before Christmas..

NYC Book of Shadows Vol.III

What is everyone doing in the last week to prepare for Christmas? I will be making a few Christmas tree decorations with left over fabric, last few cards, and I save wrapping my families presents until Christmas eve when I usually wrap them whilst watching an Xmas romcom or listening to Xmas songs! I'm uber excited to spend time with family and loved ones at home, eating way too much and watching endless festive movies..oh and who can forget the presentsssss!

Drawing Fashion celebrates a unique collection of some of the most remarkable fashion illustrations from the twentieth and twenty first centuries. A breath taking collection with Film-clips, news reels, music and photography that reflect not only the spirit and the style of the decades but also the wider social and cultural changes of the century. Enjoyable variety with informative videos.

These original works define the fine art of illustrating fashion, from the collections of Chanel, Dior, Comme des Garçons and Poiret as well as Viktor & Rolf, Lacroix and McQueen. My favourites pieces are featured, the collection was so inspiring it made me want to quit my job and become an artist! on from 03 November – 06 March 2011.

I recently watched the delightful film Julie and Julia (2009)and it really inspired me. It tells the story of two rather inspirational women who's lives become intertwined, even though in two totally different times, they both find their success in cooking; "they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible."

Whilst the plot unfolds with both women using their passion for cooking to get their dreams, this light hearted comedy drama captures the beautiful relationships of the supportive and loving husbands; "You are the butter to my bread, you are the breath to my life." Love this movie...

Velvet High Waisted Short

I recently purchased these pretty little shorts and I have to say, I think they are my favourite piece this season. Ideal for A/W layering, perfect for a Christmas party. I'll be teaming mine with black polka dot tights and a uber cute sheer blouse, so chic. I just adore the jeweled buttons and the soft velvet fabric...so cute.

Love the 'matte' trend for nails this season. This colour featured is Revlon in Ruby Ribbon, such a perfect colour for those crisp autumn days. Glides on silky and dries matte! amazing....

Faux Fur Frenzy...

Right now I am little bit obsessed with my vintage inspired faux-fur coat from New Look. It's so me and totally captures my 60's rough diamond ambiance. I love it! That's another 'must have' item crossed off my autum/winter wish list. The coat features in October's Vogue.

My new Style Crush is Florrie Arnold...
Florrie is only 21 and already she has written songs for Cheryl Cole, played drums for girls aloud and is putting the finishing touches to her own untitled album as we speak. Not only does she have all this under her belt but she is the ultimate new style crush of the season. With her golden bedhead curls, porcelain perfect doll skin and soft rose lips, whats not to like;
"It's so nice to let girls look like girls again"

Her style is classic chic and she opts for fit over colours or trends for her look.

I think her style icons would be Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn.
Florrie is the star of Nina Ricci's latest advertising campaign.

LWD

I thought there would be no better way to end the summer in style in a LWD..following the celeb craze this season of taking over the LBD, I teamed mine with my fave tangerine lipstick, grey peeptoe shoes and a curly updo for instant glamour. Team yours with navy, black, grey and camel for this season's winning colour pallete. "Winter white says im expensive" Vogue.

Urban Outfitters have adorably displayed this array of 'off the street' models, to inspire shoppers for the new season's clothes...Im torn between Tegen and Danielle's style, who's your fav?
